Music is at the heart of Anglo-Catholic worship. It is one of the primary ways in which we worship, love, and serve our Lord Jesus Christ.
The adult choir of the Church of the Good Shepherd, grounded in the Anglican choral tradition, comprises a professional core, auditioned volunteer singers, and one or more choral scholars from local colleges. The choir sings weekly at the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays (regularly offering a choral setting of the Mass), Choral Evensong & Benediction approximately once monthly, and at special liturgies on major holy days throughout the year. The repertoire encompasses chant, polyphony, music of the English cathedral tradition, great American sacred music, and works by living composers.
If you are interested in auditioning for the choir, please contact Robert McCormick, Organist & Director of Music, at rmccormick@goodshepherdrosemont.com.
